Configuring Outlook 2002 for Windows OS

In order for you to configure your Outlook 2002 settings properly, you will need to have ready your username and password supplied to you by CogniLogic AND your current Internet Service Provider's (ISP) SMTP address. Contact your current ISP for their SMTP address and CogniLogic if you have not received your username and password.

1. Open Microsoft Outlook.
2. From the Tools menu, choose E-Mail Accounts
   
   


3. Choose Add a new e-mail account.
   
   



4. Select IMAP, or POP3, then click Next
   
   
   
   
5. In the Your Name field, type your name.
6. In the E-mail Address field, type your full email address (e.g., username@cognilogic.net).
7. In the Incoming mail server (IMAP) field, type "cognilogic.net" (exluding parentheses).
8. In the Outgoing mail server (SMTP) field, type your ISP's SMTP address. If you don't know this, you will have to consult your Internet Provider for this address.
9. In the User Name field, type the username that was provided to you by CogniLogic.
10. In the Password field, type the password that was provided to you by CogniLogic.
11. Click the Next button.




12. Click the Finish button.




13. Close and Restart Outlook 2002. You will then be able to Send/Receive your e-mail messages.
