Dr. Mayer requested a textual-based website that was very pleasing to the eyes, yet not overloaded with images or design elements. His goal was to highlight the text, not the graphics. We wish to emphasize that it is possible to have a simple, yet pleasing, design that is graphically balanced with text while being completely void of those pesky bandwidth problems.

It should be noted here that Dr. Mayer’s site originally contained a “splash page” before the main site; however, it was disapproved due to a more simpler design theme.
